Let me first state that it doesn't matter how much equipment you have or what brand you work with. If you feel like something is missing, it's wise to consider if you need anything else. What matters is that you can do what you want to do with the equipment and modifiers you have. On this gear page, I'll take you step-by-step through my collection of equipment and explain why we use that gear.

Speedlights & Triggers

Camera // Lenses 

30 years ago I started (analog) with Minolta and switched about 25 years ago to Sony Digital cameras. Now I shoot with the Sony Alpha range, High-quality built, and a perfect DR. The camera does not take a good photo, but the photographer does, and the camera is the perfect base!

Dedolight LED & V-Flat

Bring Hollywood to your photoshoot

Dedolights are focusable and give a "clean beam of light" and are ideal for creative photography. Dedolight also supplies various color filters, effect filters and lenses that make the creative possibilities almost endless. Dedolights are of the highest quality and do not fade in color or light output and are widely used in Hollywood productions.

The V-Flat can be folded into a handy size of approximately 100 cm x 100 cm and weighs only 3 kg. V-Flats are used as fill light, block and absorb light, bounce light, and possibly as a background during photography and video shoots.

Lightstands

Lightweight tripods & grips

We use lightweight travel tripods with 3 leg segments because this gives more stability. Because we often work at destination weddings/shoots, and on uneven surfaces, we work with the Carbon Fotopro tripods with a special extension system. For photo shoots in difficult places such as a shower room, we use a Clip Clamp to attach our strobes.

Hybride Back-ups

Our fast and secure hybrid backup system ☁️

You just did a beautiful and valuable wedding or photoshoot, but how can you safely back it up in a hybrid way? (accessible anytime and with any system) We have a 3-step system for this: The first step is to put all photos on two memory cards by using the duo-slots on our cameras, one of these memory cards goes into the safe.

The second step is to back up all RAWs to an external SSD HD that also goes into the safe. Our lightroom catalog is also stored on a second external SSD so that we can always disconnect it from the system. The third step is our cloud storage, so that all RAWs, edits, exports, and lightroom catalogs are safely in the cloud!

Important note:

Although I am supported by various brands, as a creative artist, I have the freedom to work independently with other brands, and equipment. It doesn't matter which camera brand you shoot with or which brand of speedlights you use. There are always more options and brands to make beautiful images. It's all about how you use your equipment as a photographer and the creative process to achieve awesome images.
